Parent and Tween - Make Paper Together!
Get your kids making paper without making your house a mess! Our holiday workshops are designed for a parent and children to spend some time together on a craft activity. You can bring one or two* children aged 9 years and over and you will all do your own version of the project at the same time.
Paper-making is wonderfully rewarding because you can do the whole process from start to finish. We've got a stash of water damaged paper that you can rip up, blend into pulp and then use a deckle and mould to make your own sheets of paper.
We'll use different natural colours to create pastel shades of paper, with that lovely handmade deckle edge. You'll make probably 20 or more sheets of paper in different colours, and take them home damp but not too wet to transport. Hang them to dry overnigh, and you'll have a lovely little batch of handmade papers, perfect for thank you notes and letters.
All the other materials needed to make the paper
A recyled paper bag for each person to carry their paper home in - your paper will be in plastic pockets so wont be leaking on you
